Content is King, Marketing is Queen.
SO WHAT IS CONTENT MARKETING?
According to the Oxford Dictionary, content marketing generally refers to a type of marketing that involves the creation and sharing of online material (such as videos, blogs, and social media posts) that does not explicitly promote a brand but is intended to stimulate interest in its products or services.
Content marketing is recognised as the best long-term marketing strategy there is because people nowadays have a strong desire to obtain information, before buying any products. This is where content marketing comes in handy as a way for people to do research before buying stuff. This allows them to have many options to choose from and enables them to make good choices when buying stuff. Content marketing also comes with plenty of benefits such as increased sales for brands, save costs and instigate better customers who have more loyalty towards a brand. Plus, there are many types of content that can be produced by a brand to attract customers such as infographics, videos, social media posts, webpages, books and podcasts.
One example of successful content marketing by a huge brand is Coke's "Share A Coke" Campaign, which by using their own creativity decided to give an opportunity to everyone to personalise their own Coca-Cola drinks. This enabled Coke's brand to connect with customers and obtain a massive range of audience towards the brand. I strongly believe any brand can achieve many customers by doing content marketing. It's just the matter of how creative and innovative that brand can be.
